INKD DESIGNER CONTRIBUTOR ROYALTY POLICY

This royalty policy ("Royalty Policy") explains how contributors earn money on Pressplane, Inc. dba Inkd (“Inkd”, “we” or “us”).  This is a new venture in a brand new space.  We are the first marketplace for buying and selling professional print files so some things may change while we are working out the kinks. We encourage you to review this Policy from time to time to make sure that you understand how any new information we might introduce would impact you and your earnings. If we make a change to this Policy, it isn't because we're trying to be malicious. It's because nobody has tried to do what we are doing here and we can't know that every desicion we make about this Policy will be relevant in the future or will allow us to sustain this marketplace for you, our Designer Contributors.

THE BASICS OF CONTRIBUTOR PRINT DESIGNS FOR SALE

By uploading your files to Inkd, you are exposing your graphic design work to thousands of professional buyers around the world 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

There is no registration fee, no portfolio management fee, and your income could theoretically reach thousands of dollars a month if you help us promote your work and upload high quality print designs.

POSTING AND ACCEPTANCE OF DESIGNER CONTRIBUTOR PRINT FILES

Anyone can become a member of our community, however we only accept quality-based design for inclusion in our database. We carefully review each application received. You may apply to become a member by registering and uploading your first files. If they are approved, you will see them on your personal account. If they are not selected for inclusion in the database, you will be notified via email, including the reason and/or suggestions for improvement. After solving the problem, you can upload them again.

As soon as your application is accepted, your files will be available for sale on the site. Upon review, the file will be included as a 1st level file. Depending on the quality of the print design, composition, subject and imagery, the file will have more or less downloads than other similar print designs.

When your files are sold, they can be used with no limits on time or copies. They can be used for: advertising, professional documents, press articles, packaging, websites and blogs.

ROYALTY PAYMENTS TO DESIGNER CONTRIBUTORS

For each transaction, the designer receives a 20% percent royalty fee on the total retail sale (excluding applied tax value). When we launch the "Exclusive" feature, contributors designs may receive a higher percent fee.

Any designer will automatically be paid for his/her sales on Inkd.com as soon as the balance has reached $25. You track your earnings in your contributor admin area. We currently send payments by bank check and PayPal.

We ask our contributors to maintain/keep your designs online a minimum of 70% of their approved/accepted submissions for at least 6 months but this is more of a request than a requirement.

OUR PRICING STRUCTURE

The current pricing structure was released on March 18, 2009. Note that royalty credits acquired in the past may be based on a different retail pricing structure. In order to meet industry dynamics, market trends, technological and knowledge improvements, Inkd may intiate updates on its retail pricing for designs.

Inkd acts as an agency providing quality professional print designs to thousands of professionals of the industry, as well as helping professional or amateur graphic designers sell their portfolio online. We do not currently require exclusivity for the designs you upload, but each uploaded design becomes subject to our terms and conditions, and you must own the rights for each design you upload to our database.
