Can I place my order now to take advantage of your discount if I am not ready to begin?
Yes, you are more than welcome to purchase now and take your time to complete
the creative brief. Completing the brief as fully as possible is a crucial first
step and if you need additional time to gather your thoughts there is no rush.
How long does the process take?
Generally the first concepts for your logo will be delivered five business days
from when you submit your creative brief. The process moves more quickly after
we deliver first concepts and can be expedited if you respond with feedback
quickly.
What if I need my logo faster?
Our design team works directly with you throughout the process to ensure
efficiency. Rush orders require an additional fee depending upon which package
you purchase. Please contact us for details.
What happens during the logo process?
-
Step One: After deciding on the custom logo design package
that’s right for you, click "buy" to add it to your cart and complete the
checkout process. After you complete your purchase, a "next steps" email
will be sent to you which includes a link to your creative brief
questionnaire.
-
Step Two: Complete this brief as fully as possible as these
details will shape the direction of all conceptual development. After you
submit your creative brief, a member of our team will contact you to clarify
any additional information we may need and to schedule a date for delivery
of the first concepts.
-
Step Three: We get to work! Our team of logo designers is
available to contribute their artistic perspective based on your direction.
The number of designers working on your project depends on the logo package
you’ve selected. Your first logo concepts are specifically designed around
your creative brief.
-
Step Four: Review your logo concepts. Tell us what you
liked, what you didn’t like, and what you would like to see changed. Our
designers will continue to revise your logo so that it meets all of your
expectations. Most revisions are completed within 48 hours. This feedback
and revision process will continue until your logo is completed through the
number of revisions included in your package.
-
Step Five: Approve your final logo once it has met all your
expectations and accomplishes what you had envisioned. We will create
deliverable files of your logo in multiple file formats for both web and
print.
Do I get to choose my designer?
We have a dedicated in house design team and network of freelancers throughout
the US who work on our logo design projects. We do our best to match up your
desired style with the designers that best fit that aesthetic based on their
availability. We cannot guarantee that a specific designer will be working on
your project.
What is a creative brief?
The creative brief is a set of questions that helps our designers understand
your business and goals for your logo. Your mission, products and services,
needs of your customers, your competitors, and other invaluable information will
all be considered in our creative process. The more information and visual
direction you can provide up front, the more informed our designs will be (and
the happier you will be with the results). Have an idea of what your logo should
look like? Sketch it out and send us a snapshot! Don't worry about your design
skills — that's what we're here for!
Can I receive more than one final layout for my logo?
Yes, we can create multiple versions of your completed logo—horizontal layout,
vertical layout, with and/or without a tagline, icon only, etc.
What logo file types are delivered with my order?
All logos are created in Adobe Illustrator, which is the standard for
vector-based design. Vector files are much better for logo designs because these
files can be scaled to any size with no loss of quality. Once your logo is
completed and the final iteration is approved we will deliver your logo in the
following formats, with one set in color and set in black and white:
-
AI files are created with Adobe Illustrator. In order to
open an .ai file, you need a copy of Adobe Illustrator installed on your
computer. If you are supplying your logo to a vendor for printing,
embroidery, or any other use - ideally you should send them this file.
-
EPS files are vector files that can be opened with Adobe
Illustrator or any other vector editing software.
-
GIF files are one of the most popular formats for use
online for images with a limited amount of different colors. GIF files also
support transparency so they can be placed on any color background
seamlessly.
-
JPG files are one of the most popular formats for use
online for images with a large variety different colors, depth and shading.
JPG files are ideal for quick and easy showcasing of your logo online - but
should not be used for printing.
-
PDF files can be easily printed, shared and viewed using
any PDF viewer like Adobe Acrobat Reader. PDF files allow for zooming in and
out without the logo appearing "blurry".
-
PSD files are files meant for use with Adobe Photoshop.
Photoshop is primarily utilized to create web graphics that are smaller than
the original logo size. PSD files are raster files and are not the preferred
file format for any use not intended for the web.
-
PNG files are similar to GIF files in that they are
designed to use online and can support transparency, but they also provide
greater depth of color, similar to JPG files, catering to images up to 24
bit in color. We recommend you utilize PNG files instead of JPG whenever
possible.
-
TIF files are lossless high quality files that can be use
for printing in rare cases where the AI or PDF files are not available. TIF
files are also great files to start with when creating any new file for use
on the web.
